Lily Medical Centre

The Lily Medical Centre, commissioned by Lily of the Valley Endeavour USA, first opened its doors in 2008. The aim of this facility is to provide the highest possible standard of primary care to local communities.

Through generous donation and local investment, a wide range of equipment is available, enabling our qualified health professionals to assess, treat and manage a variety of minor illnesses and injuries. Our pharmacy is able to dispense a wide range of medication. Through the development of our Dentist’s room, we are now well equipped and able to offer limited dental services by visiting dentists.

Our staff includes a full time psychologist and administrator; as well as a HIV/AIDS counsellor, allowing us to provide confidential HIV Counselling and Testing (HCT) according to national guidelines. Every attempt is made to maintain good working relationships with other local clinics and services, in order to strengthen our referral network as well as ensure service users receive as comprehensive care as possible.

Our work in the community, including door-to-door home visits, is supported by teams of Home Based Carers. These are a group of local volunteers who assess the various needs of households within the community - this in turn helps us to direct our services and resources, ensuring maximum impact. One of these services is the distribution of Food Parcels to those identified to be most in need.
