The reading club is vital part of the programme at Lily. The children are encouraged to read and get points for every book they read. When they get enough points they are able to take part in a reward - like going to ten-pin bowling! Now Reading Club has been slightly revised. On a Thursday, many of the older children who can read are assigned two smaller children each. They spend half an hour each with the little ones teaching and letting them read to them. They are very excited to be looking after the little ones!!! |
