Open Schools Re-Opens

We started the Open Schools programme once again last week Monday, a project
reaching out to the kids from our local community who are performing below
average for one reason or the other. We are mainly focusing on Math literacy
and English. We currently have 41 kids who come every afternoon.

We have challenges with both the kids and volunteers/ facilitators. We were
targeting to have a ration of one facilitator to six learners but currently
we have one to ten and eleven respectively. We are looking to have at least
two more facilitators on board then arrange some training for them.

We have a meal for the kids at 14.30hrs to 14.50hrs and 10 - 15 minute
devotion after the meal. From 15.10hrs to 16.00hrs we have our lesson for
the day. Then we dismiss. We would appreciate anyone who is able to
volunteer their time for this important programme!
